THE LIGHTHOUSE LEGACY
Inspired by George + Ethel
Hi, I’m Nicole, a wedding photographer with 8.5 years of experience. About a month ago, I was reflecting on how I could make a real difference when a simple Instagram interaction led me to something incredible.
A follower asked about my dream photoshoot, and I shared a vision of capturing the “old love” of an elderly couple. Little did I know, that simple post would lead me to Ethel and George, a couple married for almost 43 years. Ethel had been diagnosed with cancer and given just months to live. I immediately offered to document their love story—free of charge—as a gift to their family.
During the session, Ethel and George shared their life mission: to be a lighthouse. That conversation sparked something in me, and I realized I had found my answer to making a difference. And thus, The Lighthouse Legacy was born.
The Lighthouse Legacy offers free portrait and video sessions for couples or families with a meaningful story to share—like Ethel and George's—while encouraging donations to Chatham Hospice in lieu of a session fee- an organization close to my heart after my grandmother’s passing this past summer.
I’ll be accepting one session every couple of months, with an online gallery and short film for each family. It's a way to celebrate love and legacy, while giving back to a cause that truly matters.
Thank you to Ethel and George for sparking this light in me—your story will live on in a way I’ll never forget. 💛
PLEASE FILL THIS FORM OUT IF YOU HAVE A GRANDPARENT/GRANDPARENTS THAT HAVE A MEANINGFUL STORY TO SHARE LIKE ETHEL + GEORGE!
