Dani + Jord Laundry Mat Baby Announcement

Dani and I had been planning this pregnancy reveal to her husband since months after Evie was born.
I woke up in the middle of the night a year ago and wrote this whole story in my phone about meeting in a laundry mat and throwing a baby onesie in the dryer for Evie to pull out (because she loves unloading the wash) and handing it to Jord to announce the big news.

Dani called me on a Friday night before a Halloween party to ask me if I could meet her at a laundry mat asap and I was like oh my shit yes 😭

Can I just say one thing... who the heck would have known that a Laundry mat at 12pm on a Sunday is like a Costco before Christmas. What in the world??
There were 20 people in there when I arrived a few mins early to sneak the onesie into the machine. We decided to drive around to all of the laundry mats in Chatham to see if there was a more quite place but there wasn’t so after 40 minutes we ended up back at the first one. Still busy as anything. And Jord super annoyed considering I told him I just needed to test my lighting for an upcoming shoot…

And so we began, Evie took everything out and handed it to Jord accept the onesie she decided to put that in the basket in front of her we tried numerous times. A man pushed by and said okay I want to get my laundry now in a super upset tone. Jord ended up putting his mask on and grabbing Evie and leaving because apparently we were upsetting people. 🙊 he had no idea why we were so determined to make this shoot work. No idea.

I turned to that man getting his laundry and said we are trying to announce to my sisters husband that he is gonna have another baby and the man said what ever and pushed through to leave 🤣

This was by far the most difficult shoot I’ve ever done. By far.

Dani was upset so I went out and somehow convinced Jord to come back letting him know we would all go back and have shots after if he just tried once more 😂So we tried again and finally that little onesie ended up in jords hand.

Though this didn’t go at all like I thought it would, it’s as authentic as it can get and I love every bit of it.
